Pivt Privacy Policy

MovingParts Inc. doing business as Pivt ("Pivt," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, retain, and delete personal information when you use the Pivt mobile application, websites, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

1. Who Uses Pivt

Pivt provides relocation, community, connection, and related services, often through an employer, relocation management company, or other sponsoring organization (a "Sponsor"). The Services are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Pivt account.

 

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Services, Pivt may collect the following categories of information:

• Account and profile information, such as name, corporate email address, job title, department, interests, professional goals, preferences, short biography details, and relocation context such as origin and destination city.

• Sponsor-provided invitation information, such as an email address, account/access information, and origin or destination city provided by an employer, relocation management company, or other Sponsor to invite or support your use of Pivt.

• User Content, such as private 1:1 messages, community posts or city group chats, photos, profile content, and other materials you choose to submit through supported features. Pivt does not currently support user-uploaded video.

• Technical and security information, such as IP address, device type, standard operational logs, security events, and diagnostic or crash information.

• Communications with Pivt, including support requests, feedback, and other messages you send to us.

• Location information. Pivt does not collect precise or approximate location directly from a user's device. Pivt uses origin and destination city or similar relocation-location information provided by the user, employer, or relocation company.

• Sensitive information. Pivt does not require or intentionally solicit highly sensitive personal information as standard profile data, including Social Security numbers, financial account information, government-issued identifiers, health records, or sensitive-category information such as religion or sexual orientation. Please do not include highly sensitive information in free-form posts, messages, biographies, photos, or other User Content unless a Pivt feature expressly requests it and the applicable privacy notice permits it.

 

3. How We Use Information

Pivt uses personal information to:

• Create, authenticate, administer, and secure user accounts.

• Provide relocation, community, connection, and recommendation features.

• Suggest relevant communities, professional connections, local resources, or other recommendations based on information you choose to provide.

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Services.

• Respond to support requests and communicate about the Services.

• Meet contractual, legal, compliance, and security obligations.

• Prevent abuse, fraud, misuse, infringement, and security incidents.

 

4. Artificial Intelligence and Recommendations

Pivt may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, or other automated techniques for matching, recommendations, community discovery, and community-content moderation. For matching and recommendation functions, Pivt sends only city or destination information and user-provided interests and preferences to the external AI service; role, job title, profile text, and biography text are not sent for matching. Public community messages may be processed by an external AI service to identify potential violations of Pivt community rules or safety requirements.

Pivt does not use customer or employee personal information to train, retrain, or fine-tune foundational AI models. When Pivt uses third-party AI or machine-learning service providers, Pivt applies contractual and technical safeguards intended to prevent customer data from being used for provider model training and to limit retention consistent with Pivt's documented data-handling requirements.

Pivt may change technology providers over time. The privacy commitments in this Policy apply to Pivt's handling of personal information regardless of the underlying provider. A limited number of authorized Pivt staff may also review community content when reasonably necessary for moderation, safety, incident response, or enforcement of Pivt community rules.

 

5. How We Share Information

Pivt does not sell or rent personal information. Pivt may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers and subprocessors. We may use vendors that provide cloud hosting, security, communications, analytics, support, or AI/technology services. They may process information only as needed to provide services to Pivt and subject to applicable contractual safeguards.

• Sponsors. Sponsoring employers and relocation management companies may receive administrative/account information, such as invitation status, account status, and access information, as well as aggregate engagement and program reporting. They do not receive private messages, individual matches, or individual community activity through these reporting functions.

• Legal, safety, and rights protection. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect users or others, investigate misuse or security incidents, or protect Pivt's rights and property.

• Business transactions. Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law.

• Mobile information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from all of the sharing categories above and will not be shared with any third parties.

 

6. Data Security

Pivt uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Pivt's documented controls include encryption in transit using TLS, encryption of persistent data at rest, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication for authorized access to production resources, and security logging and incident-response procedures.

 

7. Data Retention and Account Deletion

Pivt retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, meet contractual and legal obligations, protect the Services, and resolve disputes.

Users, or enterprise administrators acting on their behalf where applicable, may request account deletion. Pivt's current process deactivates the account, removes personal data from active production systems, and deletes or irreversibly anonymizes direct identifiers and profile information. Encrypted database backups are maintained for a limited recovery period of up to 30 days; deleted personal information cycles out of those backups, and deletion controls are re-applied if a backup is restored during that period.

 

8. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, applicable law may provide rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also update information available through your account and may request deletion where supported.

9. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

Pivt uses operational, performance, security, and crash/diagnostic technologies to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services. Pivt does not currently use advertising or retargeting technologies. Where required by law, Pivt will provide applicable choices or obtain consent for non-essential technologies. Pivt may update these practices as the Services evolve and will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate.

 

10. International Use and Data Transfers

Pivt may serve users in multiple countries. Personal information may be processed in the United States and in other locations where Pivt or its service providers operate. Where required, Pivt uses appropriate contractual or other safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

 

11. Children

The Services are intended for adults age 18 and older. Pivt does not knowingly permit persons under 18 to create or use Pivt accounts. If Pivt learns that an account has been created by a person under 18 contrary to this requirement, Pivt may suspend or delete the account and associated information, subject to applicable law.

 

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Pivt may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, technology, legal requirements, or business practices. If changes are material, Pivt will provide notice as appropriate.
